Clear before complex
Explain the decision, workflow, and responsibility before adding technical complexity.
About Navance
Navance helps leaders translate fast-moving AI capabilities into clear decisions, practical team skills, and documented workflows.

About Steve Hurry
Steve’s career spans corporate technology, nonprofit and faith-based organizations, MSP technical support, technical writing, operations leadership, and team training. That range is the point: AI adoption succeeds or fails on communication, process design, documentation, and human judgment — the disciplines Steve has practiced in every environment he’s worked in.
As a technical writer, he turned complex systems into guidance people actually follow. In IT and managed support, he solved real problems for small organizations on real budgets. Leading operations, he learned how change actually lands on the people who do the work. Navance brings that mix to AI: strategic enough for leadership decisions, hands-on enough to build the workflow beside you.
Steve builds with the same tools he recommends — including this website, designed and shipped through AI-assisted workflows. He’s based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and works with small and mid-sized businesses, nonprofits, and schools, locally and remotely.
Why Navance exists
Teams need to know where AI belongs, what responsible use requires, how outputs will be reviewed, and how a successful experiment becomes a repeatable way of working.
Explain the decision, workflow, and responsibility before adding technical complexity.
Start with the work that needs to improve — not with a product looking for a use case.
Identify where judgment, verification, approval, and accountability belong.
Capture prompts, steps, boundaries, and review practices so useful knowledge can be shared.
Experience that supports the work
Navance brings these disciplines together so AI decisions stay connected to the people and processes that must make them work.
Turning complex systems and requirements into usable guidance.
Understanding how tools, processes, people, constraints, and responsibilities interact.
Helping people build practical understanding and apply it consistently.
Bringing strategy, workflow design, responsible-use thinking, and adoption support together.
Past leadership recognition
“Steve was at the top of our list.”
This recognition describes Steve’s prior operations leadership. It is not a Navance client engagement or an AI outcome claim.
